Important Notes About the APPSC TGT Syllabus

There are a few things candidates must keep in mind when preparing from this syllabus. The syllabus for all subjects except General English, General Studies, Aptitude and Pedagogy was notified in November 2025 via the main notification. The Paper 1 syllabus (General English, GS, Aptitude and Pedagogy) and the revised English subject syllabus were separately notified in January 2026, making both notifications essential reading for complete preparation.

Candidates should only apply for one TGT post and must ensure that their graduation subject matches the post they are applying for, as the concerned subject paper carries 300 of the 500 total marks.

Preparation Strategy Based on the Syllabus

Since Paper 2 (concerned subject) carries 300 marks out of 500, it should receive the bulk of your preparation time. However, Paper 1 cannot be neglected 150 marks from General English, GS, Aptitude and Pedagogy can make or break your final merit rank, especially in competitive subjects.

For the interview stage, focus on communication clarity, subject command and practical teaching demonstration, as the 50-mark viva-voce and classroom teaching round can influence final selection rankings significantly.
